Emergence Festival 2018 – Mercoledì 10 ottobre inizieranno i lavori dell’ottava edizione di Emergence Festival a Giardini Naxos attraverso progetti di condivisione e aggregazione con le persone che vivono il territorio. Quest’anno il focus del Festival sarà “i giovani e il territorio”, l’dea è quella di avvicinarci ai giovani del Paese cercando di coinvolgerli nella realizzazione delle opere, attraverso una loro partecipazione attiva e produttiva.
Si inizierà mercoledì 10 ottobre con la riqualificazione di tutto il prospetto del Liceo Scientifico C. Caminiti di Giardini Naxos attraverso l’Arte Pubblica dell’artista Ligama, durante i 10 giorni di lavorazione organizzeremo degli incontri attivi con gli studenti del Liceo, come alternanza scuola lavoro per una didattica innovativa sul campo.
Con l’artista Roberto Alfano creeremo dei Workshop e laboratori esperienziali, con tutte quelle persone disponibili che vivono il territorio, per la realizzazione del muro di cinta del campo sportivo sito nella piazzetta Lorino Mangano. L’appuntamento è previsto per martedì 16 ottobre alle ore 16,00 per la presentazione del progetto e per la composizione dei gruppi di lavoro, la partecipazione è aperta a tutti colori che vogliono dare un contributo attivo alla riqualificazione della Paese da un’età prevista che va dai 7 ai 99 anni. Il progetto è stato ideato da Emergence Festival insieme all’Assessore alla Cultura del Comune di Giardini Naxos Sandra Sanfilippo in collaborazione Pancrazia Marcuccio responsabile del gruppo promotore Unicef Giardini.
Roberto Alfano è un artista e educatore, esperto nella conduzione di laboratori artistico esperienziali e delle dinamiche delle espressioni artistiche. Le fonti sue primarie di ispirazione sono riconducibili alla cultura contemporanea: dai segni urbani dei graffiti, a cartoni animati e film, con il relativo immaginario pop-surreale, ai disegni naif e outsider afferenti al mondo dell’Art-Brut. Il mix di cultura alta e bassa è un tratto distintivo della produzione dell’artista, che vuole dare dignità all’espressione spontanea e primaria, rivalutando gli insegnamenti di Jean Dubuffet. Il lavoro artistico, basato sulla produzione di immagini ispirate a questo background, conta l’adesione a diverse ed importanti esposizioni collettive sul territorio nazionale ed internazionale.
Inoltre, saranno presenti al Festival il venezuelano Gomez e il torinese Corn79 che realizzeranno due facciate nel centro storico del Paese. Realizzeremo per finire il restauro del muro di Carlos Atoche nel sottopassaggio dell’autostrada a Calcarone e quello di MP5 nel sottopassaggio in via delle rimembranze.

Emergence Festival 2018 – On Wednesday 10th October, the eighth edition of the Emergence Festival will begin in Giardini Naxos through projects of sharing and aggregation with the people who live in the area. This year the focus of the Festival will be “young people and the territory”, the goddess is to approach the young people of the country trying to involve them in the realization of the works, through their active and productive participation.
We will start Wednesday, October 10th with the redevelopment of the entire Liceo C. Naxini High School Scientific Area through the Public Art of the artist Ligama, during the 10 days of work we will organize active meetings with the students of the Liceo, as a school alternation I work for innovative teaching on the field.
With the artist Roberto Alfano we will create workshops and experiential workshops, with all those people available who live in the territory, for the realization of the wall of the sports field located in the Piazzetta Lorino Mangano. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16 at 16.00 for the presentation of the project and for the composition of the working groups, participation is open to all those who want to make an active contribution to the redevelopment of the country from an expected age ranging from 7 to 99 years. The project was conceived by Emergence Festival together with the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Giardini Naxos Sandra Sanfilippo in collaboration with Pancrazia Marcuccio, in charge of the Unicef Giardini promoter group.
Roberto Alfano is an artist and educator, expert in conducting experiential artistic workshops and the dynamics of artistic expressions. His primary sources of inspiration can be traced back to contemporary culture: from urban graffiti signs, to cartoons and films, with its pop-surreal imagery, to naive and outsider drawings related to the Art-Brut world. The mix of high and low culture is a hallmark of the artist’s production, which wants to give dignity to spontaneous and primary expression, re-evaluating the teachings of Jean Dubuffet. The artistic work, based on the production of images inspired by this background, counts the adhesion to several important collective exhibitions on the national and international territory.
In addition, the Venezuelan Gomez and the Turin-based Corn79 will be present at the Festival, which will create two facades in the historic center of the country. We will finish the restoration of the wall of Carlos Atoche in the underpass of the highway at Calcarone and that of MP5 in the underpass in via delle rimembranze.
