CARLOS ATOCHE
Un melting pot di culture scorre nel sangue di Carlos Atoche, artista classe 1984, nato da madre argentina e padre peruviano. Il suo approccio con l’arte risale al periodo dell’infanzia. Raggiunta la maggiore età si dirige oltreoceano e qui la sua visone artistica incrocia le bellezze del vecchio continente. Rimane subito impressionato dalle meraviglie pittoriche e architettoniche italiane, tanto da trasferirsi a Roma poco dopo, città dove consegue il diploma in pittura all’Accademia di Belle Arti. Proprio nella capitale cresce vertiginosamente il desiderio di esprimere il suo talento artistico, le reminiscenze legate al disegno e alla scultura lo aiutano a definire e a circoscrivere in modo più chiaro gli elementi nello spazio bidimensionale della pittura. Negli anni della frequentazione dell’accademia comincia ad appassionarsi alla street art, movimento ancora poco in auge, e la sua vena creativa si trasferisce sui muri e qui troverà superfici fertili su cui esprimersi. Dipingere in strada cambia totalmente la sua percezione, la connessione che si instaura tra l’arte e il luogo in cui si realizza è indissolubile così come il rapporto tra artista e passanti. La sua tavolozza raccoglie uno zibaldone di culture ed esperienze che gli permette di dare vita a veri e propri capolavori open air. La sua ricerca intimistica si traduce in pensieri quotidiani e interrogativi travestiti da elementi figurativi. Le influenze che possiamo scovare nella sua pittura sono molteplici: dai tratti inconfondibili delle civiltà classiche, alle concezioni spaziali dei grandi maestri italiani, dallo stile distintivo delle antiche culture sudamericane fino alle interpretazioni concettuali più contemporanee.
Carlos Atoche, a 1984 class-born Argentine mother and Peruvian father. His approach to art dates back to his childhood. When he reaches the age he goes overseas and here his artistic mink crosses the beauties of the old continent. He was immediately impressed by the Italian pictorial and architectural wonders, so that he moved to Rome shortly thereafter, a town where he obtained his diploma in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts. In his capital, his desire to express his artistic talent is growing, the reminiscences associated with drawing and sculpture help him to define and circumscribe more clearly the elements in the two-dimensional space of painting. In the years of the Academy’s attendance, he began to be passionate about street art, a movement still unobtrusive, and his creative vein moved to the walls and here he will find fertile surfaces to express himself on. Dipping into the street completely changes his perception, the connection that it is established between art and the place where it is realized is indissoluble as well as the relationship between artist and passers-by. His palette brings together a zibaldone of cultures and experiences that allows him to create real open air masterpieces. His intimate research translates into daily thoughts and questions disguised as figurative elements. The influences that we can find in his painting are many: from the unmistakable traits of classical civilizations, to the spatial conceptions of the great Italian masters, from the distinctive style of the ancient South American cultures to the more contemporaneous contemporary.
